The very first being an imbalance within Vata dasha, which in turn is widely responsible for transportation and the overall movement of nutrients along the empty channels throughout the body. As such, any imbalance of Vata Dasha can obstruct blood flow and supply of nutrients across hair cell which in turn is responsible for several hair issues like dry scalp, split ends, hair breakage and loss.

Not many are aware of this, but healthy bones are an essential factor leading to healthy hair. This is solely because nails and hairs are nothing but by-products of any such transformation that happens from food and directly to one's bones. The third reason that seems to be a possible contributor to hair loss and hair related problems is old age. Ayurveda believes that the later phase of life happens to be governed by Vata dasha, which might be detrimental to your glorious tresses.

  • Include green and leafy vegetables in your diet.
  • Embrace dairy products like cheese, milk, and yogurt.
  • Give food to your hair in the form of walnuts, almonds, and coconuts. You might as well grate them alongside and add to your veggies.
  • Take to flavor your food with adequate spices to fasten digestion and optimum absorption of nutrients.
  • Curry leaves, turmeric, black pepper, cilantro are also good additives for your diet and should be consumed from time to time to foster healthy hair growth.
